The Grech Pond Bio Pressure Filters with UV are compact, high-performance pond filtration systems that combine biological and mechanical filtration with an integrated UV-C clarifier to help maintain clear, healthy water in both fish and decorative ponds. Designed for easy installation and discreet placement, these pressure filters can be partially buried at the pond edge, with all connections neatly housed in the top cover. Separate biological and mechanical filter chambers efficiently remove dissolved and solid waste, while the biological media encourages the growth of beneficial aerobic bacteria that break down harmful ammonia and nitrite. The built-in UV-C light helps control algae by causing suspended algae particles to clump together so they can be captured by the filter, resulting in improved water clarity. A simple handle-operated cleaning system makes maintenance quick and convenient without the need to frequently open the filter and clean the foams. The pressure design allows higher flow rates than traditional gravity-fed filters and can be used to pump water to elevated waterfalls before it returns to the pond. Compatible with separate pond pumps and tubing, the CPF series operates on 220-240V, 50Hz power and includes hose adapters for straightforward installation. The CPF-2500 model is suitable for fish ponds up to 2,000L and decorative ponds up to 4,000L, features an 11W UV-C lamp, supports pump flow rates from 4,000 to 8,000L/h, has a maximum flow-through rate of 6,000L/h, a filter volume of 16 litres, an 8m² strainer surface area, and compact dimensions of 312 x 312 x 471mm, making it an effective and space-saving solution for maintaining healthy pond water and controlling algae growth.
