Country Values Guinea Pig Nuggets are a complementary feed designed to provide essential vitamins, minerals, and fibre for guinea pigs, supporting healthy digestion and helping to prevent selective feeding when fed alongside good-quality hay and fresh water. These fruity-flavoured nuggets are enriched with added vitamins, including protected vitamin C, which guinea pigs cannot produce themselves, and each nugget is carefully balanced to ensure consistent nutrient intake. Hay or fresh grass should form 85–90% of your guinea pig’s diet to promote dental health and digestion, with these nuggets supplying the vital nutrients they need, while high-fibre treats and fresh greens can encourage natural foraging behaviour and variety. Due to sensitive digestive systems, new food should be introduced gradually over 10 days, beginning by mixing small amounts of crushed nuggets with existing food to help ease the transition.
