NT Labs Satus, meaning “Start” in Latin, is designed to rapidly establish and enhance aquarium biofilters, making new aquariums safe for fish by preventing toxic ‘new tank syndrome’. It contains the innovative Satus organism, which works under both aerobic and anaerobic conditions to quickly remove ammonia and break down organic waste more efficiently than traditional bacteria. Alongside this, a concentrated blend of heterotrophic and autotrophic organisms—including aerobic and anaerobic nitrifying bacteria—converts harmful ammonia and nitrite into safer nitrates without producing hydrogen sulphide. Safe for all aquatic species and plants, Satus cannot be overdosed and should be used with Optimus during setup, water changes, and regular maintenance. Easy to apply, it requires shaking before use, temporary UV/ozone shutdown, and correct dosing based on aquarium volume, with ongoing monthly applications to maintain optimal biofilter performance.
