Job Overview
The Senior Sales Advisor is responsible for contributing to the overall success of the branch, achievement of sales targets and execution of company initiatives, by delivering the highest level of customer service & advice, product & department knowledge and merchandising.
Role and Responsibilities
- Support the execution of the day-to-day sales, merchandising and promotional activities of the branch.
- Ensure excellent customer satisfaction, always!
- Develop appropriate product and specialty knowledge in order to provide customers with the most beneficial advice.
- Ensure that the sales floor is always fully stocked.
- Ensure the highest level of merchandising is maintained and that stock is rotated according to the first in, first out principle.
- Assist with admin roles such as stock takes, daily reconciliations & cash ups, rostering & work & leave schedules and leave, scanning & uploading documents
- Assist with floor walks.
- Upskilling and training other staff.
- Ensure products, shelves and merchandising aids reflect accurate pricing & descriptions.
- Perform stock counts, investigate discrepancies.
- Monitor stock condition, follow stock disposal protocol where necessary.
- Monitor stock expiry and rotation.
- Ensure the store, shelves and products always remain clean and presentable.
- Promotions:
- Develop functional & appealing displays.
- Convey the value and savings of the deals to customers.
- Test knowledge of other staff.
- Actively promote company initiatives within the store
Support Roles (Adhoc)
- Assist with the receipt and processing of stock.
- Assist with cashier duties from time to time.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Matric certificate
- Basic computer literacy
- 3-5 years retail sales and merchandising experience
